What time? First 3 Saturdays in February 3:30-7:30pm EST with breaks included. Times are subject to change and may be adjusted according to the time zone of the group. You will receive the recorded course content within 24 hours of registering.
I can’t attend the event live, can I still come? YES! You are welcome to purchase for the recordings, although we will miss your presence live but understand things happen. The recordings will be sent within 48 hours of the event. You have 2 months to complete the course material.
What materials do I need? You need a device to view the event, your aerial hammock safely rigged and secured, a yoga mat, a notebook, a pen, your favorite tea and mug, water, and any sacred object(s) you wish to have nearby. You can purchase an aerial hammock on Amazon here.
What will we do during the course? This course is designed to be both live and pre-recorded video sessions. You will receive complete access to the Rising Wings Aerial Yoga Online Couse, Foundations, Advanced, & Restorative courses where you can begin your coursework. This will include your digital manuals as well as video breakdown of every posture in the manual and several classes so you can begin your Rising Wings Aerial Yoga practice before we meet.
During our live Zoom calls, we will have interactive sessions in practice teaching (please be able to have your hammock set up in the sessions), rigging, anatomy, teaching methodology, the language of yoga, sequencing, meditation, breathwork, and more. Outside of our calls, you will be required to submit videos demonstrating your ability to safely execute key aerial yoga postures, teach effectively, and rig an aerial yoga hammock. We will also have reflective journaling-type homework assignments.
You will receive 5 additional pre-recorded 1-hour classes to complete on your own time at home
Students will have the opportunity to ask questions in real-time. During our time together on the course, you will learn tips to infuse mindfulness, embodied breath, and health as related to aerial yoga throughout your days with intention for greater purpose.
Each student has access to Lindsay for private appointments as needed online during the duration of the course.
I’m new to yoga, is this for me? This virtual course is for all levels, however it is recommended that you have some yoga, fitness, dance, or aerial experience before trying aerial yoga. You will receive a survey to complete after your payment is received.
I’m not interested in the certificate, can I just take the course for fun, relaxation, and my own interest? Absolutely!
