Lindsay Nova, the director of this accredited Yoga Alliance school, Samanova Yoga, is joined by international staff to make this online course a well-rounded and thorough study of yoga from a variety of perspectives. Combined, the teachers have over 20 years of experience and emphasize that the practice of yoga is more than just exercise, it is a lifestyle. This is a great place to deepen your understanding of yoga, develop your own personal practice, and of course, how to teach it to others.

When does the course start?
You can enroll at any time and complete the course by December 31st, 2021.
What time are the live classes?
Live class times are TBD and are subject to change. They will be adjusted according to the time zone of the group. We will email you at the beginning of every month to schedule any live meetings.
I can’t attend the live call times, can I still register?
YES! The recordings of the live calls will be sent within 48 hours of the event. You have until December 31st to complete the course material in order to receive your Yoga Alliance certificate.
What materials do I need?
- A device to view the course online
- A camera, camera phone, or laptop with webcam to record video (does not have to be high quality)
- An internet connection
- A yoga mat
- Yoga Blocks + Strap
- A Yoga Bolster
- Your aerial hammock safely rigged and secured if participating in the optional aerial yoga module
- A notebook
- The required reading (see below)
- A portable speaker or headphones (optional)
What will we do during the course?
This course is designed to be both live and pre-recorded video sessions. You will receive a digital PDF manual for each module of the course (vinyasa, yin, and aerial yoga each have separate manuals) as well as prerecorded video classes and slideshow lectures you can download and keep forever!
During our live Zoom calls, we will have interactive sessions in practice teaching, anatomy, teaching methodology, the language of yoga, sequencing, meditation, breathwork, and more. Outside of our calls, you will be required to submit videos demonstrating your ability to safely execute key yoga postures and teach effectively. We will also have reflective journaling-type homework assignments.
Students will have the opportunity to ask questions in real-time. During our time together on the course, you will learn tips to infuse mindfulness, embodied breath, and health throughout your days with intention for greater purpose.
Each student has access to Lindsay for private appointments as needed online during the duration of the course.
You will be required to a teach a 1-hour practice class for each module via video (yin, vinyasa and/or aerial) as well as complete a written exam to receive your certificate.
I’m new to yoga, is this for me?
This virtual course is for all levels, however, it is recommended that you have some yoga, fitness, dance, or aerial experience. You will receive a survey to complete after your payment is received.
I’m not technologically savvy at all, will I be able to do this?
Absolutely! We want this to be as easy as possible for you when it comes to technology. The recorded course content will all be in the Teachable platform and you will have a personal Google Drive folder assigned to you where you can upload your assignments and videos. We recommend that you create a folder on your computer for all of the course material to stay organized and sign up for a Gmail account to make things easier.
I’m not interested in the certificate, can I just take the course for fun, relaxation, and my own interest?

Lindsay Nova, Lead Instructor (USA/India)
Lindsay Nova’s life mission is to help others find their wings and FLY! As a full-time traveling aerial yoga teacher, she loves spreading the joy of yoga and aerial all over the world through her specially curated teacher training immersion programs that cultivate positive transformation.
Yoga found Lindsay at a young age as a teenager while she was studying at a contemporary dance intensive. She completed her teacher training at the age of 22 and holds a BFA in Dance. Her teaching over the last decade has taken her on various residencies around the world and within the United States.
Now Lindsay is currently based in Southeast Asia and is a traveling yogini, author, performance artist, and leading international yoga teacher trainer. Her lifelong practice of yoga and meditation, combined with her background as a dancer, aerialist, and academic, enables her to share her authentic life experiences from the heart to inspire growth and change in her students.
After a shoulder injury from performing aerial in 2016, she created her aerial yoga program to heal herself and now teaches her method worldwide. She has founded 2 yoga training programs, Rising Wings Aerial Yoga and the Samanova School of Yoga, with courses taught on 4 continents. Her book, The Happiness Playbook, is available on Amazon and she has written for dozens of publications and happy clients throughout the internet for over 5 years.
Her teaching style is a fusion of contemporary movement with traditional wisdom, which always contains a spark of creativity (shakti!) with deep intention. She honors the body as a sacred vessel to explore this world with and uses her spiritual practice to help others peel away the layers of their being to understand their own personal power and role in life, or dharma. She bows deeply to all of her teachers for the wisdom and inspiration they have passed on to her, which she continues to ignite in others.

Laura Fleur, Anatomy & Yin (UK)
Laura’s love affair with Yoga began initially to overcome injuries. It has evolved to become her daily medicine and she can think of nothing better than to share the peace it brings with others. She has studied Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Yoga for Children & Aerial Yoga in Europe & India. The most enjoyable part of teaching for Laura is seeing her students smile at the end of practice. The power in just an hour of practice and dedication to the self in the present moment.
With 10 years’ experience leading classes in Studios, Shalas, Schools & Surf retreats in the UK and throughout the world she believes that Yoga is for everyone and can be deeply empowering. Asana classes aim to bring balance and rejuvenate the spirit. Practice flows as a moving meditation to synchronise body, breath & awareness.
Since 2017 Laura has been guiding students on international Yoga Teacher Trainings in Theory, Asana Practice, Pranayama & Meditation. She has a passion for Anatomy, Physiology & The Subtle Body and is always excited to share this with students.

Melissa was born in Southern California and is a E-200 Hour YACEP (2018) and 500 Hour (September 2019) Registered Yoga Teacher. She is trained in Ashtanga Vinyasa, Hatha Alignment, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Aerial Yoga and Reiki Healing with over 100 hours of continuing education in Ayurveda, Chinese Philosophy and meditation.
Melissa is a firm believer in taking your yoga off the mat and into your everyday life. She believes in the transformational power of yoga and enjoys sharing principals of positive thinking and self love with her students. She encourages her students to approach their yoga practice free from judgement and comparison, allowing students to cultivate self-awareness while creating a space that’s comfortable for all levels.

Manjeet Mathur, Philosophy (India)
Manjeet grew up in New Delhi, India and came to yoga with a background as a dancer. He has over 3000 teaching hours and enjoys sharing his heart-centered mindfulness meditations as well as yoga philosophy on yoga courses. He has a particular focus on conscious breathwork, tantra, and making yogic philosophy accessible and understandable for all. His priority is to share from the heart and to the heart of all, to make the sharing circle bigger and let the love and light spread all over the world! Manjeet will be teaching yoga philosophy and meditations on this course.

- Must pass the final written exam
- Everything must be completed by December 31st, 2021, otherwise, you can apply it toward an in-person course in the future for completion.
