25-Hour Online Yoga Nidra Teacher Training Recorded Course

Yoga nidra is the yoga of sleep and is more restful than taking a nap. It is called psychic sleep because it rests the body and mind together. Your consciousness remains awake during yoga nidra, instead of sleeping in the astral plane such as what happens when you sleep at night.

The stress of daily life can create tension and steal your peace of mind. Yoga Nidra removes these subconconscious stresses and restores the serenity of your mind.

This is done by removing your samskaras, or unconscious karmic impressions, from your energy field. Just like a house needs to be cleaned regularly to maintain a functioning household, the same goes for our mind, which influences our behavior, responses, reactions, and thoughts every day. Join internationally acclaimed yoga instructor Lindsay Nova for a 25-hour Live Online Yoga Nidra Teacher Training September 10-13th, 2020, from the comfort of your home! Live classes will be held between 5-10 pm Indian Standard Time and recordings will be available for those unable to attend the course live but still wish to participate. All classes will be held on Zoom. You will receive the link upon payment. The digital manual will be sent out 1 week prior to the start. Class times are subject to change and may be adjusted according to the time zone of the group.

What’s Included:

  • 25 hours of Yoga Alliance Continuing Education credit; 20 hours will be spent live together and 5 will be spent as non-contact study and practice hours
  • Daily yoga nidra practices during the course with Lindsay Nova and guest teacher
  • A digital PDF manual on the theory of yoga nidra and how to teach it effectively
  • Methodology: Learn how to guide transformative meditation experiences using breath, body awareness, visualization, and more
  • Discussion of the subtle energy body and deep dive into the chakras and koshas (sheaths) to peel away the layers of yourself for greater spiritual understanding
  • Other topics include: sleep stages, brain waves, affirmations, and the history and development of yoga nidra
  • Practice teach yoga nidra in real-time interactive online in the live sessions
  • All students must complete teaching a 30-minute guided yoga nidra class via audio recording to receive the certificate and Yoga Alliance credit. Practice classes must be submitted or completed by October 31st, 2020
  • Video replays and all slideshows will be available to all students within 48 hours of each day if you cannot make the live times

I can’t attend the event live, can I still come? YES! You are welcome to purchase for the recordings, although we will miss your presence live but understand things happen. The recordings will be sent within 48 hours of the event. You have until October 31st, 2020 to complete the course material.

What materials do I need? You need a device to view the event, your yoga mat, a notebook, a pen, your favorite tea and mug, water, and any sacred object(s) you wish to have nearby. Yoga props such as blocks, a strap, blankets, an eye pillow, and a bolster or arrange makeshift ones at home out of pillows and belts.

What will we do during the course? We will set out intentions together in our opening circle and enjoy guided yoga nidra sessions with lead instructor Lindsay Nova and guest instructor. Then we will discuss theory, history, and more in our interactive sessions. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions in real-time. There will be time for each student to practice teach the group supervised on Zoom. The last two days will be dedicated to practice teaching. You will learn tips to infuse mindfulness, embodied breath, and health throughout your days with intention for greater purpose.

I’m new to yoga, is this for me? This virtual course is for all levels! The yoga nidra classes will be accessible to everyone, beginner to advanced practitioners. You will receive a survey to complete after your payment is received.

I’m not interested in the certificate, can I just take the course for fun, relaxation, and my own interest? Absolutely!
