FAQ
What time? 6:30-11:30 pm Indian Standard Time on October 23-25th, 2020. Times are subject to change and may be adjusted according to the time zone of the group. Please check your time zone.
I can’t attend the event live, can I still come? YES! You are welcome to purchase for the recordings, although we will miss your presence live but understand things happen. The recordings will be upoaded within 48 hours of the event to our special Google Drive.
What materials do I need? You need a device to view the event, an internet connection, your yoga mat, a notebook, a pen, your favorite tea and mug, water, and any sacred object(s) you wish to have nearby. Yoga props such as blocks, a strap, blankets, an eye pillow, and a bolster or arrange makeshift ones at home out of pillows and belts.
What will we do during the course? We will set out intentions together in our opening circle and enjoy guided pranayama sessions with lead instructor Lindsay Nova. Then we will discuss theory, history, and more in our interactive sessions. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions in real-time. There will be time for each student to practice teach the group supervised on Zoom. The last two days will be dedicated to practice teaching. You will learn tips to infuse mindfulness, embodied breath, and health throughout your days with intention for greater purpose.
I’m new to yoga, is this for me? This virtual course is for all levels! The pranayama yoga classes will be accessible to everyone, beginner to advanced practitioners. You will receive a survey to complete after your payment is received.
I’m not interested in the certificate, can I just take the course for fun, relaxation, and my own interest? Absolutely!
Why study with Lindsay Nova? Lindsay is an American yoga teacher currently stuck in India during the global pandemic. Lindsay has been teaching for 13 years after she walked into her first pranayama class as a teenager that changed her life for the greater good. Lindsay has studied and practiced pranayama extensively with teachers such as Guruji B.N.S. Iyengar, Vinay Kumar, Kushal Ram N, and at Ashtanga Yoga Mysore in Mysore, India where she currently resides.
She has dedicated her life to yoga after a career as a former dancer and aerialist. She has toured the world performing and teaching internationally, fusing her dance and aerial background with yoga, Pilates, breath, and mindful movement for healing that is accessible to all. You can come from a dance background or be a complete beginner and you will find Lindsay’s teachings have something for everyone. She has studied with the best in the industry and her Rising Wings Aerial Yoga courses have been taught in-person on 4 continents in 7 countries to nearly 100 students worldwide. She is excited to share this dream and journey with you online!!
